Oh, Happy Day!

This one was a doozy! I wanted so badly to do this scallop card, but my mind was completely blank! I just had to do it piece by piece. I created the card with SCAL using the cuts that a MB member had posted. They are amazing! I just flipped the image, made a blackout of one, then welded the two to make the card. (I hope that makes sense!)

Then I found the turquoise paper really liked the color with the black. So I sat here for awhile just staring at the scallop card with the white and turquoise circles on it. Ho hum....what now? Sentiment.....hmmm. I was too lazy to create one in word, then I remembered the "Oh happy day" cut in Wildcard. Then I just had to fill the space. (That even took awhile!) Well, anyway.....here it is. I hope you like it.

Birthday Wishes

Here is another card that I punched out today. This was the 1st sketch I believe. I know I should have used scraps for this challenge, but I have been wanting to use these Basic Grey papers for awile now, so here they are. No Cricut...sorry! I just love brown!

Bella with a Daisy

Wow! It feels great to be creating again. Here I was, looking forward to the summer so I could have all this time ALONE, making cards.....HA! Unfortunately, I have obviously been saying that about many things.
Well, I made some time today to sit and create for this week's Cricut MB card challenge. This card was for the second sketch. I recieved this Bella image in a swap awhile back and I thought the sketch would fit a Bella perfectly, so here she is! Under the tag is actually a goof. I put another stamp of "You" there, but it was too big! ARGH. So I had to cover it up. Are we supposed to tell those secrets?? lol! The only Cricut I have on there are the circles. I can't even tell you which cart...I just look in a handbook until I find a circle. I don't have George :o(. I think I may have used Grapically Speaking this time.
I hope you enjoy her! TFL!

A Father's Day of Polo

Wooohoooo!!! I am now done with my Father's Day cards! Just in the nick of time! My father is a polo player and he is coming in tomorrow for a polo tournament here on Maui for Father's Day. I had to make his card fit the bill. I had the ideas in my head...but don't you just hate when things just don't lay out the way you imagined it? Had to make a few changes, but I'm happy with the end product. It's simple, but it works. I'm not good at manly cards!!
This card is for one of the sketches for the 6/17 Okie's card challenge (I think it's sketch #1??)
Jubilee Cart for the font cut at 1"
SCAL for the horse dingbat (font is called Yeehaw, I downloaded it free online...They even had a polo player dingbat...but I just couldn't get it to look right.)
PPDU cart for the horseshoe cut at 1"
I handcreated the polo mallets

I hate taking the pictures at night, I can never get the coloring right. I would have taken more to show the dimension...but forget it!......the shadows....ugh. TFL!

A Father's Day card for my husband

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
It's nice to be making cards again. This is one of the sketches for Okie's card challenge this week. Once I saw that it needed a photo, I knew that I wanted to do one for my husband's father's day card. The hard part was finding a picture. This picture was a little wierd, but I liked it. This picture was taken at the Maui Ocean Center and they were looking at the sharks and one of the sharks was swimming right at them....thus the look on their faces. I'm sure a little of it was hamming it up for the camera (at least daddy's face!)
I just realized....I did not use any cricut! Oops! Am I disqualified???

Olivia's 1st Birthday Card

Here is one of my cards for this week's Okie's Card Challenge sketch 1. Unfortunately this may be the only sketch I get to this week. (At least before the next posting) Crazy busy right now, but I needed to crank this one out before going out of town tomorrow because my husband needed it for the birthday party on Saturday. I know it doesn' look very babyish, but the name "Olivia" just doesn't sound baby to me. I wanted the card to match her name.

Basic Grey Paper and letter and number stickers.

Inspired by Blog Hop!

Holy Moly! I just finished the BBTB blog hop, and I am in complete awe! Those ladies are so completely talented. I just warned my husband: "Last summer you started this madness (he bought me the E for my birthday) and this summer....I'M TAKING IT TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL!!!"
Now if I only had a store to go and buy stuff!!!! ARGH! No Michael's, no HL, no Joanns. Humph! Online shopping here I come! (With what money??? Yet to be determined!) And no, it is not as fun, but what else is a girl to do!!

For Shelly's FIL

Just in the nick of time....once again! There's nothing like waiting until the last minute! Kim and Rose were so thoughtful to think of having us send cards to Shelly's FIL who is not feeling well. I SO am not good at making manly cards, which is why I put it off for so long! I had one of Okie's Weekly sketches (posted by Kathy) left to do, so I thought I would go for it. I don't have any of the manly outdoorsy carts, so I went the patriotic route. I hope you like it!
All cuts are from Graphically Speaking, cut at 1 1/2". TFL!!
